Meet For-Sight’s New Key Account Manager
Welcome, Carys Duckworth!
We are thrilled to have Carys Duckworth join the For-Sight team as our new Key Account Manager! She started with For-Sight in January and has already been making a big impression, both with our team and For-Sight customers. We asked her some questions so you can learn more about Carys and the energy she’s bringing to our client relationships.
Professional Experience
We asked Carys what motivated her to pursue a career in the industry. Here’s what she had to say:
“I pretty much fell into hospitality due to circumstances but once there – I fell in love; I think many working in hospitality will relate. Hospitality is a vocation, not a job!”
We certainly agree with Carys. There’s never a dull moment in hospitality!
Carys has a wealth of experience in the hotel industry, having spent twenty years working in hospitality and events, especially weddings. She says her biggest achievement is releasing imposter syndrome and owning her role as an expert in the wedding industry. She’s not afraid to be a strong voice in the room, ready to lead and bring fresh ideas to the table as a Key Account Manager.
“Fun fact: Carys has also (briefly) worked as a primary school teacher.”
So, why For-Sight?

As a working professional in the hotel industry, Carys had been familiar with For-Sight for a while and was attracted to our company values.
Carys said “I was excited to join a company with a clear vision of growth with development opportunities. I’ve always worked in more sales roles, but the opportunity to develop my skills more specifically in the marketing discipline as a marketing platform was a key factor for me and my career development.”
We asked her about her skills and how they’ll inform her new role with For-Sight. Carys cited her ability to build relationships as instrumental to her new role as Key Account Manager.
“I build strong and impactful relationships, which is exactly what being an Account Manager is all about. I want to know what motivates them, excites them, gives them a headache, [and their] future vision. The best partnerships come from trust and open conversations. My vision is to move away from the rigid structure of things like quarterly reviews and develop more of a collaborative format – success plans.”
Carys demonstrates the mindset to focus on improving a little every day rather than focusing on perfection. One of her favourite mantras is “I love the person I am becoming”.
When asked what she is looking for from For-Sight’s team and culture, she said “Integrity – nothing functions without trust and follow-through.”
A woman of many talents

We asked Carys about her favourite things to do outside of work, and she had a long list! A few of the things she enjoys are painting, crafting, and theatre. Carys is also a trained singer, although she only performs at home nowadays.
She’s also a big foodie and very passionate about her love for Yorkshire tea. When she’s not enjoying one of her many hobbies, you can find her working on home DIY projects or playing with her dog, Mowgli.
We asked her if there was anything new she’d like to add to her list of hobbies, and she said flying!
“When I was a kid, I wanted to be a pilot in the Air Force, but that seemed too scary as I got older, and the commonsense view of being a commercial pilot never crossed my mind. It’s just super cool, and I love travelling, and clouds and the vastness of the sky just always gives me such peace.”
Just for Fun…

If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would they be?
“1. David Attenborough – I love animals, and the man has had such an exciting life with many adventures, and you can’t not enjoy that voice.
2. Queen Elizabeth II – An incredible woman who lived her entire life in service, I’d find her perspective fascinating.
3. Miriam Margolyes – She simply has no filter, and I think I’d find it hilarious, especially combined with my other dinner guests.”
What is your favourite way to unwind after a long day?
“A bath or a film. Anything that basically means I can veg and relax.”
If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be and why?
“We fancy Japan for our honeymoon as I love the variety of the landscape, and I find the culture so fascinating and beautiful.”
What’s your life philosophy?
“Do what makes you happy. Life’s too short to wait, hold grudges, do something that isn’t fulfilling you.”
We’re incredibly happy to have Carys on the For-Sight Team! Please say hello if you see her in person or online! You can click here to connect with Carys on LinkedIn.
