Meet the Newest Member of For-Sight’s Marketing Team!
Welcome Carly Fielding!
We’re excited to welcome Carly Fielding to the For-Sight Team! She joins our Sales and Marketing team as an eager Marketing Assistant. Join us as we learn a bit more about Carly and what drew her to For-Sight.

Carly was born and raised on the west coast of Canada. Growing up in Canada, she’s seen her fair share of bears, hockey, and cold weather! An adventurous spirit, she first travelled to Scotland in 2022, where she fell in love with Edinburgh’s history and strong support for creatives. When the opportunity came up to move here in 2024, she jumped at the chance to make Edinburgh her home.
Professional Background
Carly completed her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, specialising in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Since then, she’s worked in a variety of industries, including hospitality, event services, e-commerce, aromatherapy, and property management. We asked her what she loves about marketing, and here’s what she had to say:
“Marketing, at its core, is about storytelling, which I’m very passionate about. I also got my start in customer service, so I’m always looking at ways to improve the customer journey. Success may be measured with data, but it’s built on having a human connection.”
The For-Sight Connection

Carly was drawn to For-Sight’s company values of respect and collaboration. At For-Sight, we believe in investing in our people’s well-being and development. We do this by creating an environment built on respect and trust in which our team can successfully collaborate, both with each other and with our partners. We’re looking forward to seeing how Carly contributes to For-Sight’s collaborative spirit.
Fun fact: Carly originally applied to join For-Sight’s Customer Success team, but we loved her creativity and knew she would be a great asset for our marketing team. Beyond her professional experience, Carly says she brings a human-centred mindset and “can-do” attitude.
“One of my teenage jobs was as a paddleboard instructor at a resort. I’d never paddleboarded before my boss asked me to start teaching it to visitors… I was unsure at first, but after a lot of research and post-work paddles, I was confidently teaching guests.”
Working down on the water sounds amazing, but what does a perfect workday as a Marketing Assistant at For-Sight look like for Carly? She told us that it boils down to three things: “time to complete the things I need to get done, space to explore and be creative within my role, and energy at the end of the day to pursue the things I love.”
Personal Life

So what kinds of things does Carly love to do after a day at For-Sight as a Marketing Assistant? It turns out, her creativity doesn’t stop! Along with crafting content for For-Sight, she spends her free time writing fiction. When she’s not writing, she loves to travel and is always looking for new gems to explore.
“I love travelling. It’s one of the things that drew me to the UK. I’ve set a goal to travel somewhere I’ve never been before every month. So far this year, I’ve been to Stirling, the Isle of Skye, Newtonmore, and Windermere.”
When asked about the most impactful people in her life, Carly spoke of her niece and nephew and how they inspire her to be a good role model.
“When I’m faced with scary opportunities, I think about what I’d want to tell them to do thirty years from now. Sometimes, it’s hard to take our own advice, but they help me put it in perspective. It’s all about building a vibrant life that I’m proud of. I also love being the cool auntie off having adventures.”
Just for Fun…

If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would they be?
“1. Adam Savage – From the TV show, MythBusters, he’s very curious and exceptionally creative.
2. Taylor Swift – She’s a marketing mastermind in her own way and an expert storyteller.
3. Alex Horne – I’m really just on a mission to make it big and get on Taskmaster.”
If you could learn a new skill or hobby, what would it be?
“I’d like to learn to crochet.”
What is one interesting fact about you that not many people know?
“I played the saxophone in secondary school and got to travel to the USA with my school and perform in Disneyland. I have an exclusive pin and everything!”
What is your favourite way to unwind after a long day?
“A long walk, some writing time, or a dip at the beach on the weekend. This year, I’ve gotten into cold water swimming, which seems like a terrible hobby to take up, but it is a blast!”
