We at For-Sight are delighted to welcome Logan Fleet to our team as our new Business Development Manager. Logan has years of experience in travel tech and is well-known in the community. We thought it would be a good idea to introduce Logan to you so that you can get to know him a little better. Say ‘hello’ to Logan!
Career and For-Sight
Logan comes from a far-away land called Auckland, New Zealand, well known for kiwis (not just the fruit), sheep (there are more sheep than people), the Haka ancient war challenge, often displayed at sporting events, especially Rugby, and incredible nature as displayed in the Hobbit movie. And yes, we asked him the question, ”Why did you want to move to the UK? It’s New Zealand!’‘. His answer was simple and logical – he got married to a Brit, so he followed his wife. Logan has now been living in the UK for the last ten years, and we can also congratulate him on just passing his UK citizenship exam.
15 years, that’s how long Logan has been in hotel operational roles, mainly in large, branded hotels, and he has ‘done it all’. He has been a Night Porter, Reservations Coordinator, concierge, Head concierge and Front-of-house Manager. If you are looking for a guy who understands hotels, that’s Logan. In 2016, he decided to seek a new challenge and joined the team Guestline (who are our partners, too) as a Systems Trainer and then later on, he had a calling for sales when, in 2019, he moved to the sales team as a Business Development Manager up until summer 2024.
We asked Logan, Why For-Sight?
He said,” It is an extremely powerful platform powered by a dynamic team and business with ambition for growth, which excited me, as well as the strong sense of personal Career development opportunities.” Undoubtedly, we are lucky to have him and are excited about the future development of Logan and the wider team.
We also asked him how does his perfect workday look like?
Logan answered: ”Fostering key customer relationships, identifying hoteliers’ needs and exploring ways to create value for them, and sharing the story of For-Sight, which can make an impact within any Hotel Business. Working within a positive team environment always makes your day go well.”
Interests and life
Logan loves spending time with his family and friends, travelling, and enjoying new, fresh experiences. He said that his main role model in life is his father, who showed him the positive work attitude and work ethic required to succeed. His father always told him that there was more to achieve and do.
There are quite a few ambitions that Logan was happy to share with us. One of them is to have a mortgage-free house, and the other one is to guide his children to be successful and independent people moving forward in their lives. New Zealand is always on his mind, and when the time comes, he would like to retire back to his homeland and live in a house by the beach. At work, he wishes to develop his skills to achieve a director or senior management level, guiding a team in hitting targets.
It is always interesting to hear what animal people would choose if they were one. Logan said that he would see himself as a Lion, as every lion cub needs to understand its place in the pride and learn and develop to become the king of the beasts.
What is Logan’s philosophy? He opened up, saying, ”Work hard, show a willingness to get things done and utilise your skills and the expertise around you to succeed. Be willing to understand and take feedback from your peers and colleagues to make you the best you can be to achieve your goals. Always have a positive attitude to any situation”.
Don’t be a stranger—say ‘hello’ to Logan next time you see him at an event or meeting. You can also connect with Logan on LinkedIn or on a For-Sight discovery call!
